Hydration and good health are everything to us. We know that access to clean, drinkable water is critical to survival, especially for those who can’t easily walk into a store and buy a can of coconut water. With nearly 1 in 10 people in the world living without access to clean water, Charity Water dedicates its efforts into building sustainable, community-owned water projects globally.
Over the past few years, Buddha Brands has been donating funds through 1% for the Planet to Charity Water to build a community piped system-tap stand to provide clean water to those in dire need.
In August of 2018, we completed our third water project in the Tominian District of of Mali that has brought life’s most basic need to 439 people living in the Dogodogo community. To learn more about this project click here.
In March of 2017, we funded a water filtration system for the Shree Mahanakal Secondary School in Nepal, providing access to clean, safe drinking water for 280 people, as well as hand-washing stations to help keep students healthy.
In January of 2016, we funded a water source, latrines and a hand washing station for N.U.R.S. Secondary School in Bangladesh, where students used to have to walk for up to 2 hours to collect water. 306 students and staff now have access to clean and safe drinking water right at their school.
